நெல்லு, s. paddy, unhusked rice, சாலி; 2. a measure, the length of a rice-corn, ஓரளவு.

(prop. அறுவாய்), s. breaking, breach.
ஒறுவாயன், a hare-lipped man. ஒறு வாய்ப்பானை, a pot clipped in the edge. ஒறுவாய்போதல், to be broken at the edge; to be chipped off.
சலவை - calavai
s. bleaching of cloth, வெளுப்பு; 2. cold state of the body, சீதளம், சைத்தியம்; 3. a mark used in counting, உறை; 4. castrating, சலகு; 5. anything got extra in a bargain பிசுக்கு.
