ஆழம் - Aazham
s. depth. profundity, abyss, தாழ்வு, குட்டம்; 2. depth of thought, comprehensiveness of mind, ஆழ்ந்த கருத்து.
ஆழமான, (ஆழ்ந்தகருத்து) deep sense; mature thought, abstruse idea. ஆழம் பார்க்க, to sound the depth of any place; to sound or sift one. ஆழியன், deep-minded person, reserved character, imposter.
அழுத்தம் - Azhuththam
s. compactness, hardness, கடினம்; 2. obstinacy, பிடிவாதம்; 3. reservedness, of mind, அடக்கம்; 4. close fistedness, உலோபம் & 5. profoundness in mental application, ஆழ்ந்தறியும் தன்மை.
சட்டை அழுத்தமாயிருக்கிறது, the coat fits close, is tight. அழுத்தக்காரன், an obstinate man, a reserved man, a stingy fellow. அழுத்தமாய்ப் பேச, to speak emphatically; to speak reservedly. அழுத்தம் பாராட்ட, to be stiff-necked. அழுத்தம் திருத்தமான நெஞ்சுறுதி, strong-mindedness.
