தியாகம் - Thiyaakam
s. gift, donation, கொடை; 2. liberality, bounty, உதாரம்; 3. leaving, departing from, desertion, abandonment, விடுதல்.
தியாகம் கொடுக்க, to give presents. தியாகம்வாங்க, to receive presents. தியாகன், தியாகி, a liberal donor, a charitable man. பிராணத்தியாகம், the giving up of life.
விஷயம் - Vishayam
விடயம், s. any object of sense, anything perceivable by any one of the senses, காணப்படுவது; 2. semen virile; சுக்கிலம்; 3. refuge, shelter, அடைக்கலம்; 4. country, தேசம்; 5. a lord, a master, superior, நாயகன்; 6. origin, original cause, காரணம்; 7. news, intelligence, information, matters, facts, சமாசாரம்.
விஷயக்காட்சி, perception of objects by the senses. விஷய ஞானம், knowledge of sensible things. விஷய தானம் செய்ய, to contribute articles to a news-paper. விஷய பரித்தியாகம், abstraction. விஷய வஞ்ஞானம், ignorance, illusion. விஷய வாஞ்சை, sensuality.
சித்தம் -
s. purpose, கருத்து; 2. mind, உள்ளம்; 3. will, மனது; 4. certainty, திண்ணம்; 5. that which is attained; 6. that which is ready; 7. a division of time, one of the 27 யோகங்கள்.
உம்முடைய சித்தம், சித்தத்திற்குச் சரிப்போனாற்போலே, --சித்தப்படி, according to your pleasure, as you please. சித்தசமாதானம், tranquillity, சித்த சாந்தி. சித்தசலனம், instability of mind (opp. to திடச்சித்தம், firm mind). சித்தசன், Manmatha, as mind-born. சித்தசுத்தி, purity of mind. சித்த ஸ்வாதீனம், --சுவாதீனம், self-control. சித்தஞ்செய்ய, to settle, decide; 2. to desire, direct; 3. to make ready சித்தத்தியாகம், சித்தநிவர்த்தி, renunciation of all worldy desires. சித்தப்பிரமை, confusion or distraction of the mind. சித்தமாக, to will, to desire, to purpose. சித்தமிரங்க, to condescend, to concede, to yield, to do a favour. சித்தம் திரும்ப, வர, to be pleased to do to yield. சித்தவிருத்தி, temperament; disposition.
