வேம்பு - Veembu
வேப்ப மரம்,
s. the margosa or neem tree,

வேப்பு.
"வேம்பு விரும்பக் கரும்பாகும், where is a will, there is a way" (lit. the bitter margosa might become sugarcane if wished). வேப்பங்காய், its unripe fruit. வேப்பமிலாறு, its a margosa-switch. வேப்ப முத்து, the seeds of the வேம்பு. வேப்பம் பூ, margosa-blossom. வேப்பிலை, margosa leaves. வேப்பெண்ணெய், margosa oil. வேம்பின்றாரோன், an epithet of the Pandia kings, as wearing a garland of margosa flowers. கருவேம்பு, கருவேப்பிலை மரம், a tree whose aromatic leaves are used in dressing victuals. சேவகனார் (சிவனார்) வேம்பு, the name of a poisonous herb. நிலவேம்பு, Colombo root.
மாறு - Maaru

s. splinter, flake, fibre, சிராய்; 2. a chip from beaten iron; 3. bambooslits or laths, மூங்கிற் சிம்பு; 4. a twig, மிலாறு; 5. fault, blemish, குற்றம்.
ஒரு சிம்புப் புகையிலை, a piece of tobacco. சிம்பு கட்ட, to bandage fractured limbs with splints. சிம்பு சிம்பாய்க் கிழிக்க, to cut into small pieces. சிம்பு சிம்பாய்ப் போக, to be rent in pieces, to be torn. சிம்பு தெறிக்க, to break into small splinters of flakes. சிம்புவிட, --வெடிக்க, to shoot forth as young twigs.
