தாக்கு - Thaakku
s. beating, அடி; 2. attack, assault, போர்; 3. a place, இடம்; 4. a rice field, நெல்வயல்; 5. corpulency, புஷ்டி; 6. impressiveness, தைக்கத்தக்க தன்மை; 7. a rest or prop, சார்வு; 8. a vault, நிலவறை; 9. multiplication, குணனம்.
தாக்காயிருக்க, to have a grave look, to be corpulent. தாக்காய்ச் சொல்ல, to speak with authority. தாக்குப்பொறுத்தவன், a robust person able to carry a load, one who has to support a large family. தாக்கற்று (தாக்கு+அற்று) (adv.) independently. பள்ளத்தாக்கு, a valley, a low place. மேட்டுத்தாக்கு, a rising ground.
முனை - Munai
s. point, sharpened end, நுனி; 2. a cape or promontory; 3. battle, fight, போர்; 4. courage, boldness, துணிவு; 5. aversion, dislike, வெறுப்பு; 6. superiority, eminence, முதன்மை.
முனைகுலைய, -அற்றுப்போக, to be dispirited. முனைகெட்டவன், a coward. முனைகேடு, disgrace, insult, depression after defeat. முளைமழுங்க, to become blunt as the edge of a tool; 2. to become dispirited. முனை (படை) முகம், the front in battle. முனையிடம், a battle-field. முனையுள்ளவன், a stout or heroic man.
