கட்டி - Katti
s. concretion, clod, lump, இறுகின பொருள்; 2. hard boil, பரு; 3. jaggery, கருப்புக்கட்டி; 4. foetus, பிண்டம்; 5. a measure of weight = 25 palams; 6. gold, bar of gold, பொன்; 7. inward pleasure, அகமகிழ்ச்சி.
கட்டிப்பட, to become clotty. கட்டி முட்டி, clot and loose pieces of earth. கட்டிவராகன், a gold coin. கருப்புக்கட்டி, jaggery, வெல்லம். மண்ணாங்கட்டி, a clod of earth.
சாணி - Saanni
s. cow-dung, சாணம்; 2. (in combin. ) a farrier, a horse-doctor, குதி ரைச்சாணி; 3. a sharp--witted woman, நுட்ப புத்தியள்.
சாணிதட்ட, to make cow-dung into cakes for fuel. சாணிதெளிக்க, to sprinkle the floor with macerated cow-dung. சாணிபோட, to drop dung; 2. sprinkle cow-dung water. சாணிப்பிணம், useless dull person, சாணிப்பிண்டம். சாணிமுதலை, see under சாணம். சாணிமெழுக, to smear the floor with cow-dung. சாணியுடம்பு, a flabby body.
பிண்டம் -
s. a globular lump or mass, a ball, a globe,
உண்டை; 2. an. embryo, foetus,
கரு; 3. the body,
உடல் 4. a mouthful of food; 5. boiled rice, food,
கவளம்; 6. the indivisible part of a word
மூலபதம்; 7. collection, multitude,
கூட்டம்.
பிண்டமும் துண்டமும் கொடுக்க, to provide food and raiment, the necessary requisites of the body. பிண்டக் கரு, the foetus. பிண்டப்பொருள், the free rendering of a verse etc; 2. anything in mass, as a heap of paddy etc. பிண்டம் பிடிக்க, to form anything into a globular shape; 2. to create, as Deity. பிண்டம் போட, -இட, to set balls of rice for the manes; 2. (in contempt) to feed a worth-for-nothing fellow or a useless idler, பிண்டங்கொட்ட. பிண்டம்விழுதல், miscarriage or abortion. பிண்டாண்டம், the body and universe.
