வீரியம் -
s. heroism, valour,
வீரம்; 2. fortitude, firmness,
தைரியம்; 3. strength, vigour,
வலி; 4. semen virile; 5. musical instruments.
வெ வெ , adj. (வெம்மை), hot, warm, severe, cruel. Used in combination only with euphonical ங், ஞ், ந், ம்; before vowels வ் is inserted as (வெவ்வுரை). It is also the radical of several words (as வெக்கை, வெட்டை, வெப்பம், வெயில் etc,). Compare வே.

வெக்கை -
s. the heat of a close place, காங்கை; 2. heat rising from the ground, நிலக்கொதிப்பு; 3. looseness with which cattle are affected.
மாட்டுக்கு வெட்கை தாக்குகிறது, the ox or cow has looseness. வெக்கை நோய், looseness with which cattle are affected; 2. pox, smallpox.
