வெறி - Hatred Veri
s. drunkenness, fury from liquor, மயக்கம்; 2. anger, கோபம்; 3. confusion, giddiness, கலக்கம்; 4. fermented palmtree sap, கள்; 5. fear, அச்சம்; 6. a bad smell, துர்க் கந்தம்; 7. a devil, பிசாசம்; 8. a sheep, ஆடு; 9. the dance of a pujari possessed by an evil spirit, வேலனாடல்; 1. swiftness, சீக்கிரம்.
அவனுக்கு வெறியெடுத்தது, -தாக்கிற்று, he grew drunk. அவனுக்கு வெறி மீறியிருக்கிறது, he is dead drunk. வெறிகொள்ள, to get drunk. வெறிக் குணமுள்ளவன், a peevish man. வெறியன், வெறிகாரன், a drunkard, a mad man. வெறியாட, to be drunk, to act like a drunken person; 2. to shake and gesticulate as though possessed, through incantations. வெறியாட்டு, the agitation and shaking, etc, of one possessed. வெறியாடல், Bacchanalian dancing, தேவர்க்கு ஆடும் கூத்து. வெறியாட்டாளர், Bacchanalian dancers. மூர்க்க வெறி, fury, intoxication to madness.
