தகடு - Thakadu
s. (Gen. தகட்டின்), a thin flat piece of metal, a metal plate, தட்டு; 2. closeness, thickness, அடர்ப்பு; 3. leaf, blade, flake, scale, இலை; 4. the sepals of a flower, புறவிதழ்.
தகட்டிலே வரைய, to engrave on a plate. தகட்டுச் செம்பு, copper in plate. தகடு தைக்க, to fasten a plate with nails. போற்றகடு, a gold plate. செப்புத்தகடு, a copper plate. நாறாத்தகடு, the sepals of a flower which have no fragrance.
நெருக்கம் - Nerukkam
s. (நெருங்கு) narrowness, closeness, straitness, அடர்வு; 2. pressure, thronging, crowding, நெருங் குகை; 3. distress, trouble, துன்பம்; 4. frequency, perseverance, இடை விடாமை; 5. tyranny, harshness, கொடுமை; 6. nearness as of relationship or friendship, கிட்டினவுறவு; 7. parsimoniousness, கையிறுக்கம்.
நெருக்கத்திலே அகப்பட்டுச்சாக, to be pressed to death in a throng of people. நெருக்கப்பட, to be reduced to straits, to be pressed hard; 2. to be afflicted. நெருக்கப்படுத்த, to oppress, to persecute, to press or urge to prevail upon. நெருக்கமான பந்துக்கள், nearest relations.
நெருங்கு - Close Nerungu

நெருங்க, (com. நொறுங்க) ப்பிசைய, to knead or squeeze in the hand. நெருங்கிப்போக, to go very often, to follow one another very closely, to be choked as grain etc. நெருங்கின உறவு, close relationship. நெருங்கினகாடு, a thick jungle.
