மிகு -
II. (& IV. poet.) v. i. exceed, surpass, increase, be abundant, அதிகரி; 2. remain, be superfluous.
மிக, மிகவும், very much, abundantly. மிகல், மிகுதல், v. n. increasing, becoming great. மிகன்மக்கள், the great (நீதிநெறி). மிகு, adj. great. மிகுந்த, adj. part. much, great. மிகுந்திருக்க, (contr. மீந்திருக்க) to be too much or in excess, to remain. மிகை, v. n. & s. abundance; 2. sorrow, affliction; 3. fault, error; 4. trouble. மிக்க, adj. part. overmuch, superior. மிக்கு, v. n. greatness, superiority. மிக்கோர், men to knowledge, superior men.
பொழி -
II. v. t. & i. stream down, pour forth, சொரி; 2. come in profusely (as wealth), அதிகரி; 3. flow (as language); 4. give liberally, ஈ.
மழை பொழிகிறது, it is raining, it showers. பொழிகிறான், he is very charitable; 2. he is pouring out a torrent of eloquence. பொழிவு, v. n. flowing, affluence; 2. interest, profit, advantage, ஆதாயம். தற்பொழிவு, சுய-, self interest. சுயபொழிவைப் பார்க்கிறான், he is selfish or self-interested.
உறுத்து - uruttu
III. v. t. cause to be; உண் டாக்கு; 2. produce, வருவி; 3. constitute, ஏற்படுத்து; 4. insert, சேர்; 5. cause smarting irritation as in the eyes, conscience etc.; 6. increase, அதிகரி; 7. spread out, விரி.
அது மனதில் உறுத்துகிறது, it touches or pierces the heart. காலிலே கல்லுறுத்துகிறது, the pebbles hurt my feet. பயமுறுத்த, துன்புறுத்த, etc. see under, பயம், etc.
