குடை - Kudai
s. an umbrella; 2. the knob or the head of a sandal, nail etc, குமிழ்; 3. the name of a thorny tree, the mimosa; 4. government, அரசாட்சி; 5. anything hollow; 6. the dance of Skanda.
குடைக்காரன், an umbrella bearer or seller. குடைக் காளான், a large kind of mush-room. குடைக்கொள்ள, to rise as milk over the fire; 2. to be puffed up; 3. to upset, capsize, குடை கவிழ. குடை பிடிக்க, to bear an umbrella. குடைப் பனை, talipot, a species of palm tree. குடையாணி, a nail with a round head.
ஆண்டி -
(ஆண்டிச்சி, fem.) a religious mendicant of the Siva sect, a devotee, பண்டாரம்.
ஆண்டிமுண்டன், an unfortunate beggar of that order. ஆண்டுகொள்ள, to rule, keep under ஆண்டை, (ஆண்டைச்சி fem.) landlord, the master of slaves. ஆளன், appet aff. (pl. ஆளர்) as பகை யாளன், பகையாளர், foes. ஆளி, s. and aff. see separately. ஆளுகை, v. n. rule, government. அரசாட்சி, காணியாட்சி, கையாள etc. see அரசு, etc.
சம்பிராச்சியம் - campiracciyam
சாம்ராச்சியம், s. imperial rule, power, அரசாட்சி; 2. fortune, prosperity, செல்வம்.
