அளவறுக்க, to find out, investigate, decide. அளவாக, moderately, according to. அளவாகச் சாப்பிடு, eat moderately. அவன் ஆசை அளவாக, according to his desire, as much as he longs for. அவன் செய்த அளவாக (அளவுக்குப்) பலன் வரும், the reward will be proportionate to his work. அளவாயிருக்க, to be long. அளவிட, to limit, measure, explore, examine, (அளவிடை, v. n.) அளவிடப்படாத; அளவறுக்கப்படாத, uninvestigable, incomprehensible. அளவில், (with foregoing part) when, as soon as. அவன் வரும் அளவில், as soon as he will come. அளவில்லாத, அளவற்ற, அளவிறந்த, அளவுகடந்த immeasurable, immense, incomparable. அளவுக்காரன், a measurer. அளவு பிரமாணமாய், according to the standard or fixed measure. அளவும், just so much, so far, up to, until. அவன் வரும் அளவும், until he comes. இன்றளவும், up to this day. அவ்வளவு, இவ்வளவு, so much (that much, this much). அவ்வளவிலே, meanwhile, within that price. அவ்வளவும், so much and no more, only so far. எவ்வளவு, how much. எவ்வளவாகிலும், something ever so little. சுற்றளவு, circumference.

தலைவெட்டி அளக்க, to strike, to make the corn measure even with the striker. ஐயனளந்தபடி, as God has destined. அளக்கல், அளத்தல், அளக்கை, v. n. s. measuring. அளந்தளந்து பேச, to expatiate, to dwell lengthily upon a subject. அளந்து கொடுக்க, to measure something to one. அளந்து கொள்ள, to get something measured. அளபெடை, the lengthing of a letter in verse; as உயிரளபெடை & ஒற்றள பெடை, vowel and consonant prolongation. அளபு, அளப்பு, v. n. measurement. அளப்பளக்க, சல்லி அளக்க, to prattle, chatter, gossip; prate vain and false things; to backbite; to defame. அளப்புப் பார்க்க, to pump or sift one. நிறைய இட்டளக்க, to give heaped measure. படி அளக்க, see under படி.
