உச்சம் - Ussam
s. elevation, perpendicular height, greatness, உயர்ச்சி; 2. the point overhead, zenith, தலைக்குநேரான ஆகாசமுகடு; 3. treble in music, வல் லிசை; 4. top, extreme point, நுனி; 5. (Astr.) exalted position of a planet.
சூரியன் உச்சத்தில் இருக்கிறது, the sun is right over the head. உச்சமாய்ப் பாடுகிறான், he sings treble. உச்சந்தலை, the crown or top of the head. உச்சராசி, (astr.), exalted sign of a planet fortunate natal sign. திருச்சபை உச்சநிலையில் நின்ற பருவம், the time when the churh was in its zenith.
நாதம் -
s. sound in general, சத்தம்; 2. musical sound, ஓசை; 3. semen muliebre, சோணிதம்; 4. a semi circular hieroglyphic, in mystic writings, மந் திர லிபியினரை வட்டம்; 5. in the Siddhanti system one of the nine forms of deity, being the male linga (semen virile) which uniting with the semen muliebre is the proximate cause of the subsequent forms of deity and of all the varied forms of creation.
அவன் பாடுகிறது நாதமாயிருக்கிறது, he sings well. நாதகீதம்பாட, to sing, with musical accompaniment. சங்கநாதம் பண்ண, to blow the conch. நாதம்பறிந்து போயிற்று, he is no more in power (lit.) no more in tune. நாதரூபம், the state of the deity under the நாதம் character.
