மாசி - Maasi
s. the Tamil month Feb.-March; 2. (மாசு) mist, cloud, மேகம்; 3. the 1th lunar mansion, மகநாள்; 4. a new ridge in a paddy field, புதுவரம்பு.
கண்மாசி, a little phlegm over the eye. மேல்மாசி, a drizzling cloud. மாசிமகம், a great festival.
வேள்வி -
v. n. & s. a sacrifice, யாகம்; 2. adoration, worship, ஆராதனை; 3. the tenth lunar mansion, மகம்; 4. a sacrificial pot, ஓமகுண்டம்; 5. beneficence, ஈகை.
வேள்விக்குண்டம், as வேள்வி 4. வேள்வித் தறி, a sacrificial post, தூப ஸ்தம்பம். வேள்வி நாயகன், Indra. வேள்வியாளர், Brahmins, munificent persons. வேள்வி யோம்பல், offering burnt sacrifices.
அயம் - ayam
s. iron, இரும்பு; 2. sheep, ஆடு; 3. water; 4. festival; 5. horse; & 6. good luck, favourable, fortune caused by deeds in former births, நல்வினை.
அயக்காந்தம், a load stone magnet. அயச்செந்தூரம், red oxide of iron. அயபஸ்பம், oxide of iron. அயக்கிரீவன், Vishnu (as horse-necked in one of his forms). அயவாகனன், fire god whose vehicle is a goat; 2. Muruga. அயமகம், (அஜம்+மஹம்) horse sacrifice; also அயமேதம்.
