மிருது - Miruthu
மிருதுவு, (com. மெதுவு) s. soft- ness, மென்மை; 2. gentleness mildnes, சாந்தம்.
மிருதுகமனை, a female swan; 2. a woman who walks softly. மிருதுபாஷிதம், பாடிதம், soft, pleasing conversation, affable language. மிருதுவாதம், the soft refreshing south wind, சிறுதென்றல். மிருதுவாய், softly, kindly.
கடினம் - Kadinam
s. hardness, compactness, வன்மை; 2. difficulty, வருத்தம்; 3. severity, cruelty; கடுமை; 4. roughness, ruggedness, மிருதுவின்மை.
அவன் பிழைக்கிறது கடினம், he will hardly recover. கடினக்காரன், கடினன், a severe hard man. கடினக்காவல், rigorous imprisonment. கடினப்படு, கடினமாகு, grow hard obdurate. கடினப்புற்று, scirrhus; hard cancerous tumour. கடினமாக்க, to harden. கடினமாய்ப் பேச, to speak harshly, roughly. கடினமான நிலம், a hard soil. கடினமான வெயில், a very hot sun. மனக்கடினம், hard-heartedness.

இளகாதவன், inexorable, hard-hearted, unfeeling man. இளகின நெஞ்சு, -மனசு, a feeling, kind heart.
