நரம்பு - Narambu
s. vein, an artery, a blood-vessel, இரத்தநரம்பு; 2. tendon, nerve, sinew, தசைநார்; 3. cat-gut, chord, a string of a musical instrument, தந்தி; 4. a tendril of a vine and other parasitic plants, fibre, filament of leaves, இலைநரம்பு (in poetry the adj. is நரப்பு.)
நரம்பன், (fem. நரம்பி) a meagre emaciated person whose veins stand out. நரம்பு, (நரப்பு) க்கருவி, a stringed instrument. நரம்புச்சிலந்தி, a guinea worm; a boil on a nerve. நரம்புச்சுளுக்கு, --முடக்கம், contraction of a muscle or nerves. நரம்புப்பிடிப்பு, நரம்பிசிவு, a spasm of nerves. நரம்புவாங்க, -எடுக்க, to take of the fibres from leaves; 2. to cut the tendons of the feet; 3. to oppress one; 4. to contract.
நுணக்கம் - nunakkam
s. a bend, a flexure, முடக்கம்; 2. movement, அசைவு.
முடங்கு - mutangku
III. v. i. bend, contract, மடங்கு; 2. become lame or maimed; 3. be hindered or frustrated, தடைபடு.
