திணை - Thinnai
s. tribe, caste, race, சாதி; 2. regular course of conduct, ஒழுக்கம்; 3. the two classes of nouns, pronouns and verbs, உயர்திணை. rational and அஃறிணை, irrational; 4. soil, land, நிலம்; 5. general division of themes or subjects in writings, பொருள்; 6. the earth, பூமி; 7. site, location, place, இடம்.
ஐந்திணை, the five species of lands, குறிஞ்சி, மருதம், முல்லை, நெய்தல் and பாலை. திணைமயக்கம், blending of different soils; 2. blending the peculiarities of any two or more soils, in an account of the inhabitants. திணைவழு, திணைவழுவமைதி, disagreement in திணை, as of a verb with its nominative, the pronoun with its noun etc.
உயர் - Uyar
உயரு, II. v. i. rise, grow high, வளரு; 2. rise above, மேலேறு; 3. be great, eminent exalted. மேன்மையுறு.
உயர்ச்சி, உயர்த்தி, உயர்பு, உயர்ப்பு, உயர்வு, v. ns. சம்பள உயர்வு, increase of salary. உயர்தர உத்தியோகஸ்தன், a high official. தாழ்மையே உயர்வுக்கு வழி, humility leads to elevation. உயர, adv. (inf.) on high, above, upward. உயர ஏற, -க்கிளம்ப, to ascend, rise, mount up. உயரப் பார்க்க, to look up, to look higher for promotion. உயரப்போக, to go up. உயர்குலம், உயர்ந்தகுலம், noble descent. உயர்திணை, (in gram.) the superior class (opp. to அஃறிணை) உயர்நிலம், a high place. உயர்ந்தசரக்கு, commodities of superior quality.
