ஈர் - Iir
adj. pref (from
இரண்டு, used before words beginning with vowels, as
இரு is used before consonants), two.
ஈரடி, two lines, doubtfulness, ambiguity. ஈராட்டி, two wives. ஈராயிரம், two thousand. ஈரரசு, diarchy. ஈராறு, twice six. ஈரிணை, two yoke of oxen. ஈரிழை, double thread used in weaving cloth. ஈரிழைச்சல்லா, a muslin whose warp consists of double thread. ஈருயிராயிருக்கிறவள், a pregnant woman as having two lives. ஈரொட்டு, uncertainty doubt; conditional bargain. ஈரொட்டாகச் சாமானை வாங்கு, taks the articles conditionally. ஈரொட்டாகச் சொல்லாதே, do not speak doubtfully. ஈரொட்டாயிருக்க, to be doubtful or uncertain.
