தோள் -
s. the shoulder, புயம்; 2. the arm down to the hand, கை.
தோளிலிருந்து செவியைக்கடிக்க, (lit.) to bite off the ear of the carrier, sitting on his shoulder; to injure a benefactor. தோட்கோப்பு, see separately. தோட்சுமை, (தோள்+சுமை), a burden for the shoulder; 2. a present carried to a temple in fulfilment of a vow, as காவடி. தோள்காய்ந்தவன், -காய்ப்பேறினவன், one whose shoulders are grown callous. தோள்கொடுக்க, to help by giving the shoulder; 2. to help in an emergency. தோள் தட்ட, -கொட்ட, to clap the shoulder as a challenge to another. தோள்பட்டை, (தோட்பட்டை), the shoulder-blade. தோள்பொறுத்தவன், one who has strong shoulders for carrying burdens. தோள்போட்டெடுக்க, to offer and submit the shoulders for carrying the burden. தோள்மாற, -மாற்ற, to change shoulders, to relieve another in bearing. தோள்மூட்டு, the shoulder joint. தோள்மேல், the nape of the neck. தோள்வலி, pain in the shoulder; 2. strength; 3. strength of the shoulder.
சருகு -

சருகட்டை, a millipede. சருகரிக்க, to gather fallen leaves etc. சருகாக, to become dried as leaves, to become emaciated. ஆள் வியாதியால் சருகாய் விட்டான் (சருகாகி விட்டான்) the person has become emaciated on account of illness. சருகு சன்னாயம், a light coat of mail. சருகு சாதனங்கள், vouchers on palm leaves or olas. சருகு பித்தளை, tinsel, fine brass. காய்ந்து சருகாய்ப் போக, to become dry and whithered like leaves; to be emaciated in person; to heal up (as a sore.). சருகுண்ணி, சருகுணி, wood tick.
வடகம் -
s. a seasoning consisting of onions, cumin etc. dried together, வற்றல்; 2. an upper-garment, மேலங்கி; 3. the skin, தோல்.
வடகம் போட, -இட, to prepare such seasoning. வடகமாய்க் காய்ந்தவள், one who has pined away by inward heat.
