சேர் - Seer
s. a weight of eight palams; 2. a dry or liquid measure; 3. a small corn-heap, தானியப்போர்; 4. a yoke of oxen, ஓரேர்மாடு; 5. a tie which joins the fore legs of a pair of cattle, தளை.
சேர்கட்ட, to form a heap of corn with straw, to deposit paddy in measures. பக்காச்சேர், a large seer of 24 palams.
முகடு - Mugadu
s. the top of a hill or mountain, சிகரம்; 2. ridge of a house, வீட்டி னுச்சி; 3. a long cross-beam of a house, உத்திரம்; 4. the zenith, உச்சி.
முகடுந்தல், v. n. overcoming, excelling (இராமா). முகடோடி, a long ridge beam of a house to which the rafters are fastened. முகட்டுப்பூச்சி, a bug, மூட்டைப் பூச்சி. முகட்டுவளை, (மோட்டுவளை) a crossbeam to keep the rafters at a proper distance. முகட்டோடு, a ridge-tile.
