(தோன்று) appearance, spectacle, காட்சி; 2. rise, beginning, origin, துவக்கம்; 3. birth, பிறப்பு; 4. things created, visible objects; 5. idea, எண்ணம்; 6. phenomena, நூதனக் காட்சி; 7. offspring, a son, மகன்; 8. semblance, சாயை; 9. vision, prospect, sight, தரிசனம்; 1. debut, entrance on the stage as a character வருகை; 11. a phantom, an illusion, ஆவேசம்; 12. a fit, seasonable word, ஏற்றமொழி; 13. a word, சொல்; 14. vigour, strength, வலி; 15. praise, eulogy, புகழ்.
தோற்றமாக, to appear, தோற்றப்பட; 2. to appear on the stage. தோற்றமானவன், தோற்றப்பட்டவன், a celebrated, conspicuous man. நிலாத்தோற்றம், rising of the moon. தோற்றக்கவி, a verse sung just before the arrival of an actor on the stage. தோற்றத்தரு, the verse and tune sung at the appearance of a person on the stage, who dances round the area while it is sung.
