இந்திரியம் - intiriyam
s. an organ of sense பொறி; 2. the sperm human seed, விந்து.
இந்திரிய நிக்கிரகம், subjugation of the passions. அந்கரிந்திரியம், the intellectual faculties. உள்ளிந்திரியம், the internal sense and affection. ஞானேந்திரியம், பஞ்சேந்திரியம், the five senses, the gateways of know- ledge, viz. மெய், வாய், கண், மூக்கு, செவி. இந்திரிய ஞானம், sensation. இந்திரிய ஸ்கலனம், --ஸ்கலிதம், spermatorrhea, வீரியங்கழலல்.
சிட்டன் - cittan
சிஷ்டன், s. an eminent pious person, நல்லவன்; 2. a pupil.
சிட்ட பரிபாலனம், சிஷ்ட-, protecting and favouring the food. துஷ்ட நிக்கிரகம் சிஷ்டபரிபாலனம், destroying the wicked and protecting the good. அர்ச்சியசிஷ்டர், saints, (R. C. us.).
நிக்கிரகம் - nikkirakam
s. destruction, நாசம்; 2. discipline, punishment, தண்டனை; 3. confutation in argument, தோல்வி.
துஷ்டநிக்கிரகம், destruction of the wicked. இந்திரிய நிக்கிரகம் பண்ண, to restrain oneself, to subdue the senses. நிக்கிரகஸ்தன், the deity as destroyer. நிக்கிரகானுக்கிரகம், justice and mercy, as attibutes of a good king, தண் டனையுமிரக்கமும்; 2. distribution of rewards and punishments, as by the deity, in reference to former actions.
