தொகை - Thokai
s. (தொகு+ஐ.) a collection, an assembly, கூட்டம்; 2. a sum, an amount, மொத்தம்; 3. a summary, an epitome, சுருக்கம்; 4. omission of a particle in softly pressing limbs with the hands, தடவுதல்.
தடவு - Thadavu
s. expanse, greatness, பெருமை; 2. curve, வளைவு; 3. the foot of a censer, தூபக்கால்.
தடவுச் செவி, a very large ear. தடவுத்தாழி, a very large jar.
நெருடு - Nerudu
(com. நெரடு), III. v. t. rub between the fingers, நிமிண்டு; 2. feel, grope, தடவு; 3. twist broken threads together, முறுக்கு; 4. (prov.) deceive, cheat, வஞ்சி.
நெருடிப்பார்க்க, to try the quality of a cloth or the smoothness of a paper etc. by feeling. நெருடு, v. n. & s. rubbing, feeling, twisting; 2. a cloth in which many joinings of broken thread appear; 3. knotty or abstruse as a passage which is obscure or difficult in construction 4. indis- tinctness in writing; 5. guile, deceit, வஞ்சகம். நெருட்டுக்கருத்து, (see நெருடு 3.) abstruse idea.
