சுவை - Suvai
s. taste, flavour, relish, உருசி; 2. deliciousness, இன்பம்; 3. the subtle matter from which water is said to have evolved; 4. poetic sentiments.
சுவைகொள்ள, -பட, to taste well. சுவைபார்க்க, to taste; 2. to be nice, particular, dainty in food. சுவையணி, a figure of speech which consists in describing the 8 sentiments. அறுசுவை, the six flavours, viz. கைப்பு, bitterness; இனிப்பு, sweetness; புளிப்பு, sourness; உவர்ப்பு, saltness; துவர்ப்பு, astringency; கார்ப்பு, pungency. உட்சுவை, the flavour of a fruit etc.

உருசிகாட்டு; 2. divert a child by objects real or
pretended, பராக்குக்காட்டு; 3. put off from day to day, ஏமாற்று; 4. help, afford relief, உதவு.
ஒருவனைத் தாக்காட்டிவர, to tantalize one. தாக்காட்டு, v. n. delay, stop, putting off.
இரசி - iraci
VI. v. i. be pleasant to the taste, ear or mind; gratify, உருசி.
இரசிப்பு, v. n. sweetness, flavour. இரசிகன், a man of taste, one who appreciates beauty or excellence in anything; 2. an immoral man, தூர்த்தன்.
