பொருக்கு - Porukku
s. thin layer which peels off, a flake, a skin, செதிள்; 2. what is almost loose from the rest உதிரி; 3. a term denoting speed.
பொருக்கற்றுப் போக, to be quite extinguished. பொருக்காங்கட்டி, a clot. பொருக்கென வர, to come swiftly, hastily. சோற்றுப் பொருக்கு, small remains of rice.
உதிர் -
உதிரு, II. v. i. fall off, drop down. சொரி; 2. crumble, பிதிரு; 3. die, சா; 4. demolished, குலைந்துபோ.
மரம் மாவாய் உதிர்கிறது, the wood crumbles into dust. நீ சீக்கிரம் உதிர்ந்துபோவாய், you shall die soon (a curse). உதிரி, what falls down or separated, உதிர்ந்தது; 2. a kind of small-pox; 3. a confectionery made of flour, பிட்டு. உதிர்ந்த சருகு, withered leaves which have dropped down. உதிர்வு, உதிர்தல், v. ns. இலையுதிர்காலம், the season of the fall of leaves, autumn.
