ஆத்திரம் -
s. (Tel.) necessity அவசரம்; 2. distress, straits, ஆபத்து; 3. haste, eagerness in anger, கோபவிரைவு.
ஆத்திரப்பட, to be in distress; to be pressed with great necessity; to be in great hurry, to be passionate. "ஆத்திரக்காரனுக்கு புத்திமட்டு" proverb; "A hasty man never wants woe". ஆத்திரம் பொங்குதல், outburst of anger.
சுறுக்கு - curukku
s. quickness, velocity, haste, activity, வேகம்; 2. sharpness, keenness, கூர்மை; 3. severity, rigor, irritableness, ஆத்திரம்; 4. pungency, காரம்; 5. high price, விலையேற்றம்.
சுறுக்கன், an active person; 2. a hasty irritable person. சுறுக்காய், quickly. சுறுக்கான வார்த்தை, sharp words. சுறுக்குக் காட்ட, to use sharpness (as with a rattan). சுறுக்குக்காரன், a hasty or rigorous man, an active man. சுறுக்குத் தாக்க, to show rigor.
