ஒதுக்கு - Othukku
III. v. i. (caus. ofஒதுங்கு) drive cut of the way, push into a corner; ஒதுங்கச்செய்; 2. adjust, put in order, சீர்ப்படுத்து; 3. take under shelter, சேர் VI. 4. kill, கொல்லு; 5. impoverish, வறுமைக்குள்ளாக்கு.
ஒதுக்குப் பொதுக்குப் பண்ண, to embezzle, பண மோசம் செய்ய. என் பயிருக்கும் தண்ணீரொதுக்கு, lead the water to my field also. கோழி குஞ்சுகளைச் செட்டைக்குள் ஒதுக் கும், the hen protects is thickens under its wings. கரை ஒதுக்க, to cast on shore; to drive on shore. புடவை ஒதுக்க, to tuck or gather up the clothes. மயிரை ஒதுக்க, to adjust the hair with the hand or comb. ஒருவனை ஒதுக்கிவைக்க, to segregate, excommunicate one. ஒதுக்கி வைக்க, to reserve (a compartment. )

கொத்தடம் போட, to dig round the trees. கொத்திக் கொடுக்க, to dig with a stick to loosen the soil. கொத்தித் தின்ன, to pick up and eat as birds. கொத்தித் தெளிக்க, to dig and sow the ground. கொத்திப் பிடுங்க, to feed upon a carcase (as raven); to pick up and tear. கொத்திப் போட, to pick with the beak; to break the ground with the hoe. கொத்து, v. n. pecking, biting, engraving. கொத்து வேலை, engraving, masonry. கொத்து வேலைக்காரன், -வேலை செய்கிற வன், an engraver, a carver; 2. a mason, a bricklayer, கொற்று. கல்கொத்த, to cut or engrave stones. களைகொத்த, to weed. மீன் கொத்தி, a king-fisher.
பயிர் - Payir

பயிராக, to grow, to thrive (as corn), to become pregnant (as animals). பயிராக்க, to cultivate corn, trees etc. பயிரிட, to sow and plant, to cultivate. பயிரேற, to thrive as vegetation. பயிரேற்ற, to make the agriculture go on well. பயிர்க் (பயிரிடுங்) குடி, a farmer, a peasant, a ploughman. பயிர்ச்செலவு, agricultural expenses. பயிர்த்தொழில், --வேலை, agriculture, husbandry. ஏறினபயிர், grown-up corn. கதிர்பக்குவமான பயிர், corn which is about to put forth ears. கதிர்ப்பயிர், corn just earing. களை பறிப்பயிர், corn which requires to be weeded. கீழ்ப்பயிர், roots, herbs, vegetables (opp to மேற்பயிர், corn, large vegetables, trees). நடவுபயிர், corn recently transplanted. பச்சைகொண்ட பயிர், corn that begins to look green. பால்கட்டுப் (பால்கட்டாயிருக்கிற) பயிர், corn, the ear of which is milky. முதுப்பயிர், ripe grain.
