தாழ்த்து - Thaazhththu
III. v. t. bring low, lower, depress, deepen, தாழச்செய்; 2. abase, degrade, அடக்கு; 3. humble, கீழ்ப் படுத்து; 4. spend or while away time.
தாழ்த்திப் பிடிக்க, to hold down. காலந்தாழ்த்த, to while away time, to delay.
வயிறு - Vayiru
s. the belly, abdomen, stomach, உதரம்.
எனக்கு வயிற்றை எரிகிறது, I feel a burning sensation in my stomach; 2. I feel excessive grief, I am envious, sorrowful or hungry. வயிறு கழிய, வயிற்றாலேபோக, to have looseness or diarrhoea, to purge. வயிறு காய, to hunger, to be hungry. வயிறு குளிர, to be satisfied, refreshed by food. வயிறுதாரி, வயிற்றுமாரி, a glutton, a devourer. வயிறுபொரும, வயிறூத, the stomach to get puffed up by indigestion, the belly to swell from eating. வயிறு வளர்க்க, to maintain oneself. வயிறெரிய, to feel heat in the stomach; to be hungry; to be envious; to yearn in compassion. வயிற்றுக் கனப்பு, constipation. வயிற்றுக் காய்ச்சல், hunger. வயிற்றுப் பிழைப்பு, livelihood. வயிற்றுப் போக்கு, looseness of the bowels. வயிற்றுவலி, -நோய், stomach-ache. வயிற்றெரிச்சல், வயிற்றெரிவு, v. n. of வயிறெரிய. அடிவயிறு, the lower part of the abdomen. மேல்வயிறு, the upper part or region of the stomach.
மானியம் - Maaniyam
s. honour, respect, சங்கை; 2. lands held on free tenure.
மானியக்காரன், one who holds a Manium. அர்த்தமானியம், a field for which half the tax is paid. காணிமானியம், hereditary fields of the inhabitants subject to no tax. குடிமக்கள் மானியம், land in free tenure given to washermen, barbers etc. கோவில் மானியம், free lands belonging to a pagoda. சருவமானியம், a field exempt from all tax.
