குறி - Kuri
VI. v. t. appoint, determine, design, நியமி; 2. place a mark, note down, குறித்துக்கொள்; 3. intend, purpose கருது; 4. denote, refer to, சுட்டிக் காட்டு; 5. foretell, presage, முன்ன றிவி; 6. blow as a conch, sound, ஊது.
இதிலே அவன் குறிக்கிறதென்ன? what does he mean by this? குறித்த காலத்திலே, at the appointed time. குறித்த தொகை, the sum specified. குறித்து, concerning, about. அதைக்குறித்துச் சொன்னான், he spoke about it, or concerning it, he described it. அவனைக்குறித்து, concerning him. குறித்துவைக்க, -க்கொள்ள, to mark, to set a mark by, to note a thing in a book. குறிப்பிக்க, (caus.) to signify; to intimate; 2. to get noted down. முன்குறித்தல், முன்குறிப்பு, (christ. us.) predestination.
