முளை - Mulai
s. a germ, a young shoot of a tree or plant, துளிர்; 2. a wedge, ஆப்பு; 3. a peg, a stake fixed in the ground, தறி; 4. hook of a hinge; 5. the core of a boil; 6. a stamp to coin money with; 7. a wooden pin on which yarn is wound; 8. bambu, மூங்கில்; 9. a club, தண்டாயுதம்; 1. (in anat.) a process.
முளை வருகிறது, -கிளம்புகிறது, the seed shoots, grows up. முளைகடாவ, to drive a peg, wedge etc.; 2. (fig.) to restrain. முளை கட்ட, to put moistened seeds into a basket to germinate. முளைக்கீரை, a kind of tender greens. முளை தெளிக்க, to sow seeds or plant young plants. முளையடிக்க, to drive wooden pegs into the earth; to coin, to stamp metal. முளையாணி, the staples of hinges. முளையான், a young boy or girl (in contempt).
தூள் - Thuul
தூளம், தூளி, s. dust, powder, புழுதி; 2. snuff; 3. pollen of flowers பூந்தாது.
தூளாக்க, தூளியாக்க, தூள், (தூளி) ஆக்கிப்போட, to reduce to powder, to pulverise. தூள்கிளம்புகிறது, -எழும்புகிறது, dust arises. தூள்போட, to take snuff, to strew curry powder etc.
விளை -
(முளை), II. v. i. grow, grow ripe (as corn in the field), செழி; 2. be made, be bred, be formed or produced (as metals, salt etc.) உண்டாகு; 3. originate, rise, கிளம்பு.
உப்பு விளைகிற அளம், a salt pan. பொன் விளைகிற மலை, a hill containing veins of gold. இதிலிருந்து பாவம், (பொல்லாப்பு etc.) விளைகிறது, from this originates sin (evil etc.) இது பீடை விளையுங்காலம், this is a time when misfortunes break out. விளைச்சல், v. n. ripe grain in the field; 2. growing, ripening grain. விளைநிலம், a fertile plot of ground or field. விளைந்த பயிர், corn ripe in the field. விளைய வைக்க, to expose the indigo plant to ferment; 2. to kindle a fire for burning a corpse. விளையும் பயிர், the nature of crop. "விளையும் பயிர் முளையிலே தெரியும்", "the child is the father of the the nature of the harvest is known man", by the young shoot. விளைவு, v. n. produce of the field, outturn.
