சமுத்திரம் - Samuththiram

கரம் -
s. hand, arm, கை; 2. a particle used for naming short vowels and vowel-consonants, as அகரம், ககரம்; 3. the trunk of an elephant; 4. a ray of light, light; 5. tax, duty, குடியிறை; 6. a causative suffix attached to some sanskrit nouns as in ஆபாயகரம், துக்க கரம் etc.
