வாழை - Vaazhai
s. plantain tree, musa paradisiaca; its fruit. Its different varieties are: இரசதாளிவாழை, com. இரஸ் தாளி-, a plantain of sweet flavour; பூவன்-, another kind of flavorous plantain; கரு-, a kind of black plantain; கொட்டை-, a plantain having seeds; செவ்-, a kind of red plantain; பேயன்-, an inferior but medicinal kind of plantain; மொந்தன்-, a large variety etc.
