தாழ்த்து - Thaazhththu
III. v. t. bring low, lower, depress, deepen, தாழச்செய்; 2. abase, degrade, அடக்கு; 3. humble, கீழ்ப் படுத்து; 4. spend or while away time.
தாழ்த்திப் பிடிக்க, to hold down. காலந்தாழ்த்த, to while away time, to delay.
தடு - Thadu
VI v. t. hinder, stop, forbid, தடை செய்; 2. arrest by authority, witchcraft etc., 3. check, prevent, restrain, அடக்கு; 4. make a partition wall to a room or any other place; 5. forbid, as an ill omen; 6. block up, dam, அடை.
தடுத்தாட்கொள்ள, (தடுத்து ஆள் கொள்ள), to hinder in a bad course and reclaim; to reform. தடுத்துச்சொல்ல, to contradict. தடுத்துப்போட, to hinder; 2. to make a partition wall. தடுத்துவைக்க, to putt off, to interdict தடுபடை, a defensive weapon (opp. to அடுபடை, an offensive weapon). தடுப்பு, v. n. obstructing, check hinderance. தடுப்புச்சுவர், a partition wall.
