நிமித்தம் -
நிமித்தியம், s. a sign, a mark, அடையாளம்; 2. an omen, an augury, சகுனம்; 3. cause, motive, முகாந்தரம்; 4. efficient cause, காரணம்; 5. for the sake of, on acccount of, பொருட்டு.
இதினிமித்தம், for this reason, therefore. அடித்ததினிமித்தம் or அடித்தநிமித்தம், as he had beaten. நிமித்தகாரணம், the efficient cause. நிமித்தக்காரர், diviners, augurs from omens, prognosticators. நிமித்தத்துவம், instrumentality, causality. நிமித்தம்பார்க்க, to consult omens, to observe superstitious signs. துர்நிமித்தம், a bad omen. நன்னிமித்தம், a good omen.
விரிச்சி -
s. a good omen, a good sign, நன்னிமித்தம்.
பயறு -
s. pulse, peas, lentils, beans; 2. the fourteenth lunar asterism, சித்திரை நாள். பெரும்பயறு, சிறு-, எலிப்-, சடைப்-, நன்னிப்--, புனற்-, பச்சைப்-, நரிப்-, etc., different kinds of it.
பயற்றங்காய், a kidney-bean. பயற்றாம்பருப்பு, split-kernals of pulse.
