நிறுத்து - Niruthu
III. v. t. raise, erect, நிற்கச்செய்; 2. detain, stop, discontinue, cause to stand still, தடு; 3. defer, put off, தாமதப்படுத்து; 4. put an end to, cause to cease, முடியச்செய்; 5. reestablish, restore one to better circumstances, re-form, சீர்திருத்து; 6. reinstate, place one in office; 7. establish, maintain, support, ஸ்தாபி; 8. make proper pauses, accent, emphasis, cadence etc. in reading or singing.
நீ நிறுத்து, அவன் சொல்லட்டும், stop, let him speak. நிறுத்தல், v. n. postponing; 2. see under நிறு; 3. as நிறுப்பு which see. நிறுத்திப்போட, -வைக்க, to stop, to delay, to adjourn. நிறுத்தி வாசி, read slowly. விளக்கை நிறுத்த, to put out light.

நிறுத்த முறையானே, in order, according to rule. நிறுத்தல், நிறுக்குதல், v. n. weighing, balancing anything; 2. see under நிறுத்து. நிறுத்துப்பார்க்க, to weigh, to examine the weight, to consider, to compare. நிறுத்துரைத்துப்பார்க்க, to examine by touching & weighing gold etc., 2. to examine thoroughly & minutely.
