பாகம் - Paakam
s. a portion, share, பங்கு; 2. half, moiety, பாதி; 3. a fathom, நாலு முழம்; 4. the arm, புஜம்; 5. side (right or left) புறம்; 6. alms, charity, பிச்சை.
வலப்பாகம், இடப்-, the right and left hand or side. பாகம் அளக்க, to measure by fathoms. பாகப்படுத்த, பாகம்பண்ண, -ஆக்க, - பகிர, to divide into shares; 2. to cook. வைத்திய பாகம், that portion which is given to the physician out of the medicine made by his direction.
சாண் - Saann
s. span, அரைமுழம்.
எண்சாண் உடம்பிற்குச் சிரசே பிரதா னம், the head is the chief part of the human body that is eight span high. சாணளவாய், a span long. சாண்சாணாய் நறுக்க, to cut off in span lengths. சாண்சீலை, the forelap, கோவணம். சாண்வயிறு, -கும்பி, the abdomen a span long.

s. a cubit, a measure of 2 spans.
முழக்கட்டை, a short cloth (wanting the full measure). முழக்கோல், a cubit-measure. முழங்கால், முழந்தாள், the knee. முழங்கால்சில்லு, -சிப்பி, the whirl bone of the knee, the knee-pan. முழங்கால்படியிட, to kneel down. முழங்காலிலேயிருக்க, to kneel. முழங்கை, elbow. முழம்போட, to measure by the forearm.
