ஊதல், v. n. cold wind, swelling, tumult, toy trumpet. ஊதிப்போட, to blow away, to dispel easily; overthrow without the least trouble. ஊதியிருக்க, to be puffed up with wind, to be swollen. ஊதினபொன், gold refined in the fire. ஊதுகணை, a wasting disease of child-hood. ஊதுகரப்பான், a kind of scab or scurf. ஊதுகாமாலை, a disease in which the body swells. ஊதுகுழல், a pipe, a tube to blow the fire with. ஊதுமுகரன், a person with a plump face. எக்காளம் ஊத, the sound a trumpet. ஊதுவழலை, a kind of brown snake. ஊத்து, v. n. blowing with the mouth or bellows. உள்ளூதுதல், (christ.) inspiration. அவன் ஊத்துக்கு நிற்கமாட்டான், he will not stand the test (as gold will).
